A refreshing, cool breeze...
It must be a miracle - because we had a high of 71 degrees yesterday in Phoenix in late May! We've had a couple beautiful days (especially knowing what is just around the corner), so we decided to make the most of it. We went hiking yesterday in South Mountain - it was our longest hike yet with Silas.
He got to ride in his high-tech hiking backpack for the first time and I think he really enjoyed himself (and Matt got an extra good workout!).

Splash & Play!
Silas is sitting up quite well these days (which is no small accomplishment when you've got so much weight to support!) and enjoyed an afternoon of splashing & playing with our neighbors in their little pool. Thought I'd share a couple pics...that I took with my new purse-size camera I got for Mother's Day! It is so spiffy - now I can really multi-task and take one-handed photos everywhere we go!!

International Baby
I'm happy to report that Silas is now an international traveler and has made his first trip to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point), Mexico...and it was a success! We made the trip with friends last weekend and had a great visit. Of course, Silas wasn't so sure about his first time in the sand - but Aunt Paula helped to settle him back down.
I competed in my first sprint triathalon Saturday morning and even had enough juice afterwards to enjoy chips, salsa & margaritas at the pool. (Unfortunately, I can't post actual triathalon photos because our friend's camera got stolen. boo hoo. You'll just have to use your imagination.)
Silas likes to swim too. In fact, he enjoyed his floatie so much he took a nap in it! Everyone at the pool was jealous, wishing they had their own floatie to lounge around in and doating parents to keep them well shaded!
We also made a stop at my favorite little bakery downtown. With all the development in Rocky Point, I was so surprised it was still there. But it was - so I stocked up on goodies. (I think it was a good thing I got some much exercise down there because I think I ate most of those yummy baked goods!)
